About the book
I ran into an old roommate last week who laughed in my face when I said I had written a book on finance (I know right, rude) but I couldn’t blame him.
If you had seen me in my early twenties you would be like, ‘Biatch, please’. I was the last person you would ever think would write a book on the topic of money.
But here’s the thing, being good with money doesn’t have anything to do with being a maths whiz (like I used to think it did).It has a lot more to do with your mindset, beliefs and behaviours (and you’re going to learn all about those in my book Girls Just Wanna Have Funds).
As they say, if you can't manage $1000, you won't be able to manage $10k or $100K. I interviewed over 40 of my favourite women and men in finance so the content comes from a range of amazing experts!
It’s designed to be done with a galpal or a group of women! So grab a copy each and kick off the year getting fierce with your finances - I promise you it’s easier than you think!
Some of my favourite chapters include showing you how to:
- 💸 Work out a simple system to manage your money each pay
- 💸 Negotiate your salary and get a payrise over your colleagues
- 💸 Started investing with less than $50
- 💸 Get on the property ladder faster using government schemes
- 💸 Feel secure about your future and retirement
- 💸 Take the awkwardness out of discussing money with your partner
- 💸 Teach your kids to be savvy about money
- 💸 Learn the process for 'un-tieing the knot' and getting divorced
I hope you enjoy it! You can buy it here.Grab your copy!
Molly Benjamin was not very good with money. However, she had been working as a communications specialist in the financial sectors for national and international companies for most of her career such as Barclays, the Financial Conduct Authority and the Bank of Queensland. In fact, over a glass of prosecco with her gal pals she realised they were all a bit #clueless when it came to their personal finances. As an experiment, Molly put on an info night in her living room. No big deal, just a few girls, some champagne and a money expert with real-world insights.
Things really took off from there and Ladies Finance Club was born in London in 2018 and launched in Australia in August 2019. Since then Ladies Finance Club has had over 35,000 women attend an event, masterclass, webinar or workshop and has partnered and run corporate workshops with the likes of Google, Pinterest, Deloitte, Audible and more!
Molly's mission is simple: To help make women rich so they have full control and freedom over their lives! Her book Girls Just Wanna Have Funds was released on 31 Jan 2023!
