Honey, Let's Talk About Money

with Eleanor Lau, Family and Law Specialist, Partner at Lander & Rogers

Binding Financial Agreements (prenups) protect your money when you get married or are in a longer-term relationship... are you protected?

Whether you’re tying the knot or even just living with your partner for a while ....they could be entitled to some of your assets if there was ever a break-up. With Australia’s breakup stats on the rise, if you’re bringing a lot to the table (property, inheritance, cash) you want to make sure you’re protected.

We get that it can be a difficult conversation to have “I want to spend the rest of my life with you...but first can you errr…. sign my prenup)!” But it’s the smart thing to do. Plus we have some strategies for making that conversation less #awks.

Even if you’re in a de-facto relationship it’s worth having the conversation about signing a Binding Financial Agreement - (or Prenups as our American friends call them).

In this session, we are joined by Family and Law Specialist, Eleanor Lau, Partner at Lander and Rogers - who practises exclusively in family & relationship law.

Eleanor will share information on why it’s important to get a Binding Financial Agreement.

A big thank you to Lander and Rogers for supporting this event!
