Molly Benjamin is the founder of the award-winning Ladies Finance Club, a movement that has empowered over 60,000+ women through programs, courses, and corporate workshops. She’s also sold thousands of copies of her book Girls Just Wanna Have Funds, which provides practical financial advice to women of all ages. But Molly’s journey to financial empowerment was anything but straightforward—or glamorous.

Once a self-confessed financial hot mess (minus the hot), Molly was earning decent money while working in the financial sector for organizations like Barclays, the Financial Conduct Authority, and the Bank of Queensland. Despite all this, her true talent seemed to be making money disappear - poor just like that! Things hit rock bottom when she found herself crying in the middle of a London supermarket over a jar of jam she couldn’t afford. That was her “aha” moment—although it felt more like an “oh no” moment at the time.

Determined to turn things around, Molly embarked on a personal finance makeover. Over pizza and prosecco with her girlfriends, she realised she wasn’t the only one struggling with money. They were all a bit clueless. So, Molly invited a money expert to her living room for an informal info night. What started as a boozy brainstorm with five girlfriends quickly snowballed into something much bigger. Ladies Finance Club was born in London in 2018, fuelled by equal parts determination and bubbles, and it launched in Australia in 2019.

Since then, Ladies Finance Club has become a trusted platform for financial education, running events, masterclasses, and workshops in partnership with companies like Google, Booking.com, Ray White, White Fox and more. 

Molly’s mission is clear: to help women get rich! From crying in a supermarket to buying her own four-bedroom home, she’s living proof that financial literacy can change lives. And if Molly can do it, anyone can—preferably without the supermarket meltdown.
